DEPOSIT

Booking with Nativa Expeditions requires a non-refundable deposit of 60% of the total price. This deposit is used to purchase entrance and transfer tickets from third party suppliers, or in the case of trips involving a visit to Machu Picchu, from the local Government. For this reason, the deposit is non-refundable in regards to your personal cancellation under any circumstances. If for any unforeseen reason, Nativa Expeditions cancels your trip or cannot acquire entrance tickets due to high demand or the fault of the supplier, you will receive a full deposit refund.

PRICE VARIATION AND TAX

Nativa Expeditions reserves the right to change the price of the remaining 40% balance in conjunction with external reasons such as change in local ticket prices, transport and transfer costs, increase or decrease in local tax, fuel costs, toll costs, local operator and porter charges, currency exchanges or fluctuations or a change in government policies in regard to fees. If an increase in price due to any of the above reasons occurs, Nativa expeditions will contact the affected payee as soon as cost confirmation is guaranteed. In the event that the price of third party tickets changes above 10%, Nativa Expeditions will cover all extra costs.

If you are paying the remaining 50% of your fee via card payment or Paypal, the cost of transfer must be paid by the payee and will not be covered by Nativa Expeditions. The payee reserves the right to pay upfront by cash at the tour briefing – this shall never result in any extra charge.

CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY

From the time of booking, the 50% deposit is non-refundable for any reason stated by the payee, this is still applicable in the case of a third-party booker. Failure to pay the remaining balance prior to 48 hours before departure, without notifying Nativa Expeditions regarding payment upon briefing, may result in the assumption of cancellation regarding your place on any tour.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

Nativa Expeditions does not hold any responsibility for adverse medical effects, injury, or safety of personal belongings. You must ensure you have adequate travel/medical insurance and cover in the event of any emergency that might occur, and its associated financial costs. We recommend taking out cover for any extreme activities you may choose to participate in, altitude and emergency evacuation coverage. The client must acknowledge that the cost of any activity with Nativa Expeditions does not include any insurance coverage.

MEDICAL CONDITIONS

Nativa Expeditions requires all relevant medical information (subject to the nature of the chosen activity) to be provided at the time of booking. At this time the client must agree to fully disclose all appropriate information, honestly and accurately. In accordance with Native Expeditions privacy policy, this information will remain in strict confidence, unless legally required in conjunction with a third party company in the event of booking some included activities. In an event that it is deemed in the clients best interests, Nativa Expeditions reserve the right to request a proof, and/or further medical information and professional medical opinions. In the event of adverse medical conditions, that, due to the conditions of the environment in which the activity is held, could potentially impact on the client’s safety, Nativa Expeditions reserves the right to deny said client permission to undertake the activity. Following this event, Nativa Expeditions will provide a written explanation, including professional medical and expert opinions backing up the said decision. All clients are responsible for personal medical analysis when completing the form. Failure to complete the form by the booking deadline gives Nativa Expeditions to assume cancellation of the booked slot, and therefore all cancellation fees will apply.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Nativa Expeditions will endeavour to comply with any dietary and accommodation requirements (without limitation) stated at the time of booking, however, in the event of an error where a third party establishment is concerned in relation to these requirements, Nativa Expeditions holds no responsibility.

DETAILS REQUIRED FOR BOOKING

To verify confirmation of booking, the client must provide all required details along with the 50% deposit. If the client fails to provide all requested information regarding travel documents and medical forms at the time of paying the 50% deposit, the client accepts all liability and failure to participate in certain activities when such information is required for permits, such as the Inca Trail. Where it is necessary to share document information with third-party companies such as this, the client gives full consent to the sharing of this information. Additionally, if the relevant information is not submitted by the stated deadline, Nativa Expeditions reserve the right to assume cancellation of the activity, and the client is at risk of losing the initial deposit.

AIRFARE AND TRANSPORT TO STARTING POINT

Nativa Expeditions does not hold any responsibility for delayed or cancelled transport to and from the activity, in this event, you cannot attend the booked activity, a refund of the paid amount shall not be given. Upon request Nativa Expeditions can organise airport transfer, Nativa Expeditions acts only as a sales agent in this situation, and does not hold any responsibility in price fluctuation and delay.

FLEXIBILITY AND ALTERATIONS

A client of Nativa Expeditions acknowledges at the time of booking that, due to the unpredictable nature of adventure travel, any activity may require alterations. These could include; Mode of transport, Routes, Time schedules and itineraries. When booking the client does so consenting to flexibility, and agrees for Nativa Expeditions to alter such logistics with no prior notice in the event of circumstances involving politics, weather, or any event not in the control of Nativa Expeditions.

PHOTOGRAPHY AND MARKETING

When participating in an activity hosted by Nativa Expeditions, the client consents to any photographs or videos they may be featured in either part or whole at the time of booking, to be used for the marketing purposes of Nativa Expeditions. The client shall not be granted any compensation, and Nativa Expeditions has the right to all digital material acquired by hired photographers or videographers accompanying the activities for marketing purposes.
